The A3 is the cheapest way into a new Audi in the UAE, and the range covers far more ground than that suggests — a plain front-drive hatch at one end, a carbon-trimmed quattro Sportback at the other. Both ends sit on the fourth-generation car, now past its facelift and wearing a reshaped grille.
How much does the Audi A3 cost in the UAE?
Seven 2026 trims, and the two ends are not the same car at all. AED 149,900 buys the 35 TFSI, a 1.4-litre front-driver on modest wheels; AED 354,900 buys the Sportback - Carbon (Bucket Seats), a quattro-driven Sportback with carbon trim and bucket seats. The first three steps carry the volume, and each of those buys equipment rather than pace.
Which A3 trim is the one to buy?
The 35 TFSI, unless you specifically want the Sportback body or all-wheel drive. The digital instruments, the wireless phone mirroring and the material quality that make an A3 feel expensive are all there at the bottom of the ladder. Everything above it is finish, wheels and drivetrain — real differences, but not ones that change the daily car.
Audi A3 or BMW 1 Series?
Take the A3 for the cabin. Nothing else in the class matches its switchgear or its screens, and on a broken road it feels a segment above what you paid. The BMW 1 Series is the keener car to drive and the roomier one in the back seat. The Mercedes A-Class counters with the flashiest screen technology and the softest ride of the three.
What does an A3 cost to run in the UAE?
About 14 Km/L, which is small-hatch money and the main argument for this car as a commuter. Servicing is priced as an Audi rather than a Volkswagen, so budget accordingly. Al Nabooda Automobiles covers Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah, which matters if you live in the northern emirates and do not want a service trip down the coast.
Does the A3 hold its value, and what should you watch for as it ages?
It holds about 39% of its value after five years, a little under the roughly 43% we would expect of a German premium saloon here, and about 56% at three years. The A3s CarSwitch inspects arrive at a median of around 115,000 km — the point where a small turbo engine and a dual-clutch gearbox start to reveal whether the service intervals were kept. That is a segment pattern rather than an A3 fault, and it is exactly what the inspection report on the individual car is for.
Is a used A3 the better buy?
On price, comfortably so. A nearly new example generally runs around AED 70,000 to AED 100,000, roughly 54% under the new entry price and about AED 80,000 saved. That is a wide gap for a car of this age, and it is the strongest used-versus-new case anywhere in the Audi range.
Decide between hatch and Sportback first, then see what the used A3s listed now are asking.
