Eight trims sit under the A4 name in the UAE, but they resolve into three engines and, at the very top, a wagon that is really a separate car. It is a long-serving design, in the same shape for longer than any other Audi saloon on the list.
How much does the Audi A4 cost in the UAE?
Power is what you are paying for through most of the ladder: AED 164,300 starts it with the 35 TFSI Advanced (150 HP), and the steps above add 190 HP and then 252 HP with quattro before the trim names start repeating. The Avant at AED 449,900 is the outlier — an estate body, not a higher grade of saloon.
Which A4 trim is the one to buy?
The 190 HP car. The 150 HP entry model is adequate rather than quick and works best as a city car; the 190 HP version turns the A4 into a comfortable long-distance saloon for a moderate step in money. Pay for quattro only if you want the traction and the sharper turn-in, because it costs a little at the pump.
Audi A4 or BMW 3 Series?
The A4 is the quieter, better-finished car and the one that ages most gracefully inside — on a long highway run it insulates you better than either rival. The BMW 3 Series is more entertaining on a good road and has the stronger engine line-up. The Mercedes C-Class has the most impressive dashboard and the softest ride.
What does an A4 cost to run in the UAE?
About 17.9 Km/L from the 2.0-litre four, which is genuinely frugal for a car of this size and weight. Service pricing is the usual German premium story, so a servicing plan is worth pricing at purchase. Sales and workshops run through Al Nabooda Automobiles in Dubai, Sharjah and Fujairah — three sites, so book ahead in peak season.
Does the A4 hold its value, and what should you watch for as it ages?
Weakly, and that is the single most useful thing to know before signing: about 32% after five years against roughly 43% for German premium saloons here, and about 51% at three years. The A4s reaching CarSwitch for inspection arrive at a median of around 140,000 km, high enough that suspension bushings and the timing side of the engine are the pages of the report to read first. It is a class pattern, not an A4 defect.
Is a used A4 the better buy?
Yes, and the depreciation curve is the reason. A nearly new example generally runs around AED 105,000 to AED 120,000, about 36% under the new entry price and roughly AED 60,000 saved, with the first and steepest drop already absorbed by somebody else.
Pick your power output, then price it against the used A4s listed now.
