The H9 is the biggest and most serious vehicle Haval sells in the UAE: 4.95 metres, 7 seats, four-wheel drive and a 750-litre boot, built to go off-road rather than to look as though it might. It is the brand's answer to the traditional body-on-frame family SUV.
How much does the Haval H9 cost in the UAE?
Both 2026 versions are offered at AED 129,900, which makes this the rare SUV with no price ladder at all — the two cars differ in trim and presentation, not in money or mechanicals. Everything else in the range sits below AED 99,900, so the H9 is a deliberate step up rather than the next rung.
Which H9 should you take?
Whichever cabin you prefer, since the choice costs nothing. Both carry the same 2.0 L turbo with 214 bhp, the same four-wheel-drive system and the same 7 seats, so this is one of the few SUVs where the decision comes down to colours and materials with no financial consequence attached.
Haval H9 or Chevrolet Tahoe?
The H9 gives you genuine off-road hardware and seven seats for around half what the full-size American SUVs cost, and for a family that goes into the desert at weekends that is a strong case. The Chevrolet Tahoe is far larger, far thirstier and much better known, and the Ford Expedition makes the same argument. Judge on the third row: theirs is for adults, the H9's is not.
What does a Haval H9 cost to run in the UAE?
Like the heavy four-wheel drive it is: large tyres, a full driveline to service and fuel consumption that reflects 4.95 metres of body. Ask what the warranty covers on the transfer case and differentials specifically, since those are the parts desert use punishes, and check the rear air-conditioning works properly on any car you look at.
Does the Haval H9 keep its value, and what shows up as it ages?
Slightly behind its class, holding about 45% after five years where Chinese-brand cars here average roughly 52%. The examples reaching CarSwitch for inspection are young, a median of about 21,000 km, so wear is rarely the question. What is worth establishing is how the car has been used: a genuine off-road life leaves marks on the underbody and the suspension that no odometer records, and the inspection report on the individual vehicle is where they appear.
Drive it on sand before you buy it. If that never happens, the used H9 listings will make a cheaper case than the showroom does.
