About Jaguar XF

The XF is Jaguar's mid-size saloon and the quiet success of the range — a five-metre car with a 540-litre boot and all-wheel drive, sold here in a single well-equipped specification that removes the usual configuration argument. The design dates from 2015 and was facelifted in 2020; Jaguar has since stopped building it.

How much does the Jaguar XF cost in the UAE?

One version, one figure: AED 284,600 for the 2.0T R-Dynamic SE (300 PS) AWD. What that buys is the 300 PS tune of the 2 L turbo, all-wheel drive and the R-Dynamic SE equipment set, which places it below the German mid-size executives on price while matching them on specification and beating both on boot space.

Jaguar XF or BMW 5 Series?

The XF is the more graceful car to look at and the more comfortable one over long distances, with a bigger boot and all-wheel drive included rather than optional. The BMW 5 Series is the sharper drive, the more advanced inside, and it holds its price far more securely. The Audi A6 sits between them and is the cheapest of the three to keep.

What does a Jaguar XF cost to run in the UAE?

Around 10 Km/L, respectable for an all-wheel-drive saloon this long, and fuel is not the issue. Servicing and parts run above the German equivalents, and these cars have a local reputation for electrical and cooling work as they age, so an extended warranty is worth pricing at purchase and a complete dealer record is worth protecting deliberately.

What should you expect from a Jaguar XF on resale and on condition?

The lowest retention in the range: roughly 24% after five years, against about 48% for European premium cars here. That is a large discount for a second owner to collect and a large loss for a first one. These reach inspection at a median of around 135,000 km, high enough that suspension, cooling and gearbox condition, plus a complete service file, decide what a specific car is worth. The inspection report is where you find them.

Is a used XF the better buy?

The value argument is overwhelming and it is worth being blunt about why: the XF depreciates hard here, which is painful for the first owner and excellent for the second. A used one delivers a large, well-equipped saloon for the money a compact car costs new. Condition is what varies, so read the report on the individual car and browse the used XF listings.

Very few cars give you this much saloon for the money — provided the maintenance record holds up.
