The C7 is the larger Omoda sold in the UAE and the more grown-up of the pair: 5 seats, front-wheel drive, and a choice between a turbocharged petrol engine and a plug-in hybrid system at the top of the range.
How much does the Omoda C7 cost in the UAE?
Two 2026 versions with a wide gap between them, AED 88,900 for the STD and AED 114,900 for the SHS. That difference is not equipment — the higher figure buys the SHS hybrid drivetrain, so this is one decision about how the car is powered rather than a ladder of features.
Which C7 is the one to buy?
The petrol car unless you can charge where you park. The hybrid is the more sophisticated and much cheaper vehicle per kilometre, but only if you plug it in regularly; without that it is a heavier car carrying hardware it never uses, and the premium takes a long time to come back.
Do you have to charge an Omoda C7?
No. The SHS version is a plug-in hybrid, so the petrol engine runs the car on its own and an empty battery costs you nothing except the cheap kilometres you skipped. Charging overnight is what makes short daily journeys almost free, and that is where the drivetrain earns its premium. A long drive needs no planning around chargers at all.

The Chery Tiggo 7 gives you similar space for less and shares much of the engineering, while the C5 is the cheaper, smaller way into the same design language.
Does the Omoda C7 hold its value, and what should you watch for as it ages?
About 51% after five years, against roughly 52% for the Chinese-brand average here — no meaningful gap, which is a good outcome for a model this new. The plug-in version adds a variable: a hybrid that has never been charged works its petrol engine harder than the odometer suggests, so ask for oil-service records and have battery health measured on the individual car.
