Which used Hyundai Palisade year should you buy?

2021 to 2022. The Palisade arrived for the 2020 model year as a new nameplate, with the 3.8-litre V6 and eight seats, and was facelifted for 2023 with the upright grille and a revised cabin. The pre-facelift cars are the value buy, because the facelift premium is mostly interior.

Is a used Hyundai Palisade reliable in the UAE?

Mechanically it holds up; the bodywork is the section to read twice. Prior body or panel repair shows on 71% of the Hyundai Palisades we inspect in the UAE, against the 40% we would expect for SUVs of the same age and mileage here. This is a large family car in a market of tight car parks, so most of it is bumpers, doors and wings rather than structure — but the individual car's history matters more here than the model year. The Toyota Prado reads cleaner, at 51% against the 59% expected for its class.

Does a used Hyundai Palisade hold its value in the UAE?

Hyundai Palisade or Toyota Prado?

The Prado is the tougher, more capable car and the one to buy if you leave tarmac. The Nissan X-Trail is cheaper and has a much cleaner electrical record — a fault on 2% of cars against the 11% expected for UAE SUVs of the same age and mileage — but it is a smaller vehicle with a token third row. The Toyota RAV4 is the five-seat answer. The Palisade remains the cheapest way to seat eight properly.
