How much does a used Toyota 86 cost in the UAE?

Asking prices on the used 86s we list run from AED 29000 to AED 29000. Gearbox and generation set that spread more than the year does: manual cars command a premium, and a second-generation GR86 sits well clear of a first-generation car.

Which used Toyota 86 year should you buy?

2017 to 2021 is the sweet spot within the first generation. The 86 launched for 2012 with the 2.0-litre flat-four, and Toyota facelifted it for 2017 with revised suspension and a stiffer body. The second-generation GR86 arrived for 2022 with a 2.4-litre engine that fixes the old car's mid-range flat spot — the one to have if your budget reaches.

How long does a Toyota 86 last?

Longer than its reputation suggests, if it has been serviced properly. The 86s we inspect in the UAE come in at a median of around 182,000 km and are still changing hands. The engine is durable but hard-driven, so oil level and service intervals matter, and a clutch and tyres are consumables to price in.

Toyota 86 or Ford Mustang?

The Ford Mustang costs far more and gives you V8 noise and straight-line speed the 86 has never had. The BMW 218i is the comfortable, better-equipped alternative, with interior staining on 0% against the 22% we would expect for cars of this age and mileage here. Neither steers like the 86.
