Toyota's largest SUV is not the Land Cruiser. The Sequoia is a full-size, American-built three-row with the i-FORCE MAX hybrid V6 under the bonnet, and it competes with the big domestic SUVs rather than with anything Japanese. Four trims, all of them heavily equipped. The current car retired the old eight-cylinder engine for that hybrid six and moved to an independent rear suspension, so it drives nothing like the Sequoia most people remember.
How much does the Toyota Sequoia cost in the UAE?
Even the way in costs AED 345,000, for the Limited, and the Capstone tops the 2026 range at AED 445,000. Four trims fill that band and none of them is a stripped-out base car — the entry Sequoia is already a fully loaded seven-seater with the same hybrid drivetrain as the flagship.
Which Sequoia trim is the one to buy?
The entry Limited, unless a specific feature above it matters to you. Every trim shares the 3.5 L hybrid V6, the Automatic gearbox and the same body, so the money above the base car buys leather, audio, off-road hardware or badge rather than capability. The off-road-focused trim is the only genuinely different proposition.
Toyota Sequoia or Chevrolet Tahoe?
The Sequoia is the better long-term ownership case: the hybrid drivetrain makes it noticeably less thirsty than anything else this size, and Toyota's reliability record in this market is not in dispute. The Chevrolet Tahoe has the roomier third row and a bigger boot behind it, which matters on a car bought to carry seven. The Nissan Armada is the closest direct rival on price.
What does a Toyota Sequoia cost to run in the UAE?
Less than its size suggests. The hybrid returns around 9 Km/L, which is respectable for a five-metre-plus three-row, and Al-Futtaim Motors covers sales and servicing in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah. Tyres and brakes are the recurring costs on a vehicle this heavy, not the drivetrain.
Does the Toyota Sequoia hold its value, and what should you watch for as it ages?
Well, at about 63% of its value after five years against roughly 60% for large Japanese SUVs here. The Sequoias CarSwitch inspects in the UAE come in at a median of around 322,000 km and are still changing hands — high mileage on this car is normal rather than alarming, which tells you how these engines and gearboxes hold up. It also means the odometer is a poor guide on its own, and the inspection report on the individual car is the only thing that separates a well-kept example from a tired one.
Decide whether you need the third row every day, then compare the new price with the used Sequoias listed now.
