Full-size, twin-turbo and hybrid: the Tundra is the biggest thing Toyota puts on UAE roads, a nearly six-metre pickup with the i-FORCE MAX drivetrain and towing capacity to match the American trucks it was built to fight. Two trims, both comprehensively equipped. This generation retired the eight-cylinder engine the Tundra had run for two decades, which is the biggest change the truck has ever made.
How much does the Toyota Tundra cost in the UAE?
Two trims only: the Limited at AED 265,000 and the 1794 Edition at AED 310,000, both 2026 cars with the same 3.4 L twin-turbo hybrid V6 and the same four-wheel-drive hardware. The gap between them is entirely interior and appearance.
Which Tundra trim is the one to buy?
The Limited, on the numbers. It carries the full drivetrain, the same Automatic gearbox, the large touchscreen and the same eight airbags as the car above it. The 1794 Edition adds a distinctive leather-and-wood cabin treatment that some buyers want specifically — but it changes nothing you drive.
Toyota Tundra or Chevrolet Silverado?
The Tundra is the better-built truck and the more efficient one, because the hybrid V6 does the work a large petrol V8 would otherwise do, and Toyota's parts and service coverage here is deeper than any American brand's. The Chevrolet Silverado gives more truck for the money and a wider trim choice. The RAM 1500 is the most comfortable of the three.
What does a Toyota Tundra cost to run in the UAE?
Expensive, and there is no way around it. Expect roughly 7 Km/L in mixed use, and budget for large tyres and brakes on a vehicle this heavy. Al-Futtaim Motors sells and services it in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, which at least keeps the servicing side predictable and the parts supply reliable.
Does the Toyota Tundra hold its value, and what should you watch for as it ages?
Weakly by Toyota standards — about 45% of its value after five years, against roughly 55% for mainstream Japanese models here, because full-size pickups are a narrow market locally. The mechanical side tells a different story: the Tundras CarSwitch inspects in the UAE come in at a median of around 220,000 km, and no fault category on this model comes in above what we would expect for vehicles of that age and mileage. Read the inspection report on the individual truck and judge it on condition, not distance.
Given how the depreciation curve works on this one, look hard at the used Tundras listed now before ordering new.
