Nissan competes with the Camry by undercutting it rather than matching it, and the Altima is the result. It is roomier than most of the class, softer to ride in, and the only car here that still offers a turbocharged four at the top of the range. This generation arrived at the end of the last decade and was restyled part-way through its life rather than replaced.
How much does the Nissan Altima cost in the UAE?
Five 2026 trims, and the interesting one is the engine at the top. AED 110,500 gets the S + Alloy Wheels with the 2.5 L four; AED 148,000 gets the Turbo SL, which swaps in the variable-compression turbo. The three trims in between are equipment steps on the same mechanical car.
Which Altima trim is the one to buy?
The mid-range cars, unless the turbo genuinely appeals. Moving up from the base trim buys the alloys, the larger screen and the driver aids that make the car feel current, and that is where the money works hardest. The turbo is quick and thirsty and adds a complexity most owners of a family sedan do not need.
Nissan Altima or Toyota Camry?
The Altima is the better value proposition and the more comfortable car — more rear space, a softer ride, and several thousand dirhams cheaper trim for trim. The Toyota Camry takes it back at resale, holding a great deal more of its price over five years, which is the argument if you plan to sell. The Honda Accord is the sharper drive of the three.
What does a Nissan Altima cost to run in the UAE?
Cheaply. About 13 Km/L from the 2.5 L engine, and the CVT is the only component with a servicing reputation worth respecting — keep to the fluid intervals and it is a long-lived gearbox. Arabian Automobiles Company covers Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates for warranty work, though independent workshops know this car thoroughly and parts are everywhere.
Is a used Altima the better buy?
Strongly, yes. A used one generally runs about 55% below the new entry price — roughly AED 60,000 saved — because this model holds only about 41% of its value after five years against roughly 55% for mainstream Japanese cars here. The 1,376 Altimas CarSwitch has inspected reach a median of around 135,000 km, so ask for gearbox service records before anything else.
Price the trim you want new, then look at the used Altimas listed now — on this model the gap is one of the widest in the segment.
