About Nissan Patrol

Two very different vehicles are sold under the Patrol name here: the old-shape Safari, a hard-top workhorse built for sand and site work, and the modern eight-seat luxury SUV that most buyers picture. They share a badge and almost nothing else. That modern car is a ground-up redesign, the first all-new Patrol in well over a decade, and the eight-cylinder engine it used to run has been replaced by a twin-turbocharged six.

How much does the Nissan Patrol cost in the UAE?

The two ends of the 2026 price list are not the same car. AED 145,950 buys the stripped manual Safari; AED 449,900 buys the Nismo 3.5L, a fully dressed flagship. Twenty-two trims sit between them, which means the badge on the tailgate tells you very little about what the owner paid.

Which Patrol trim is the one to buy?

Settle the Safari question first. If the car will see real dunes and rough sites, the hard-top is the honest choice and the cheapest one to repair. If it is a family car, the mid-range automatic V6 is the stop — the Nismo 3.5L spends its extra money on trim and badge rather than on capability you will use.

Nissan Patrol or Toyota Land Cruiser — which should you buy?

Buy the Patrol if you actually enjoy driving the thing. It is faster, quieter and more comfortable on tarmac, better equipped at the price, and it starts well below its rival. The Land Cruiser answers on resale, where it is the strongest holder in the segment, and that gap is real money across five years. The Mitsubishi Pajero is the cheap way into the body style and gives back the least.

What does a Nissan Patrol cost to run in the UAE?

Plan for it. About 6 Km/L from the 3.5 L six means a serious fuel bill in city use, and tyres and brakes for a 8-seat car are priced accordingly. The dealer relationship matters most at the far end: Arabian Automobiles Company covers Dubai, Sharjah and the Northern Emirates, and a complete dealer history makes a Patrol markedly easier to sell on.

Does the Nissan Patrol hold its value, and what should you watch for as it ages?

Less well than its reputation suggests — about 43% after five years, against roughly 60% for large Japanese SUVs here. The 1,855 Patrols CarSwitch has inspected arrive at a median of around 125,000 km, and at that distance the suspension, transfer case and evidence of hard off-road use are what decide the price. That is what happens to a car bought to be driven, not a flaw in the design, and it is why the report on the individual car outranks the model year.

Decide between Safari and SUV, then put your figure against the used Patrols listed now — a nearly new one generally runs around AED 350,000 to AED 370,000, with far cheaper cars further down the list.
