About Mercedes CLS-Class

The CLS invented the four-door coupé, and in the UAE the line has now narrowed to a single car: one AMG-tuned 4MATIC+ specification, sold alongside the newer CLE and E-Class rather than beneath them. The design dates from 2018 and Mercedes has since ended CLS production, so what is left is the run-out of the line rather than the start of one.

How much does the Mercedes CLS cost in the UAE?

There is one 2026 car and one price, AED 491,400 for the 4MATIC+ Coupé, so nothing about this range is a ladder any more. What that buys is a long, low four-door with a mild-hybrid straight-six, all-wheel drive and AMG chassis hardware — a specification that would once have sat several steps up the CLS price list.

What replaced the CLS in the Mercedes range?

The role has been split. The CLE took over the two-door coupé and cabriolet business, while the current E-Class saloon covers the space and the technology. What neither replaces is the CLS silhouette, which is the only reason to buy this car and a perfectly good one.

Mercedes CLS or Audi A5?

Buy the CLS for the shape and the six-cylinder engine — it is a rarer, more distinctive thing than anything else at the price, and it drives like a much more expensive car. The Audi A5 is the sensible alternative, cheaper to run and easier to sell on. Rear headroom and boot access are the CLS compromises, and they are real.

What does a CLS cost to run in the UAE?

Around 9 Km/L, respectable for a six-cylinder car of this size and weight. Because only one version is sold, parts and servicing are straightforward to price — all of it through the authorised Dubai network. The wide tyres and the air suspension are the two lines that separate this car's bills from an E-Class saloon's.

Sit in the back before you buy: on this car the roofline is the whole appeal and the whole compromise.
