About Mercedes EQE-Class

Between the compact EQ cars and the EQS flagship sits the EQE, and in the UAE the name covers two quite different vehicles: a low, aerodynamic saloon and a taller SUV, plus an AMG version above both. Both bodies come from the same 2022 model line, the saloon first and the SUV shortly after.

How much does the Mercedes EQE range cost in the UAE?

The 2026 line opens at AED 410,100 with the EQE 350+ and reaches AED 512,900 for the AMG 4 Matic+. What moves the price is body and motor count rather than equipment — the saloon is the cheapest and the most efficient, the SUV costs more and carries more, and the AMG at the top is a performance car with the same 90.6 kWh battery underneath.

EQE saloon or EQE SUV?

The saloon is the better car if efficiency and range matter most: it is slipperier through the air and quieter at speed, and it holds the road better. The SUV is the one families choose — higher seating, a squarer boot, easier access — and it gives up some range for that. Both use the same battery, so the difference you feel is mostly shape.

Mercedes EQE or Tesla Model Y?

The EQE is a class above on interior quality, isolation and ride comfort, and it is the car to have if the badge and the cabin are why you are shopping. The Tesla Model Y is cheaper, quicker for the money and better served on the road for charging. Nothing about the Tesla feels as expensive from the driver's seat.

What is charging and running an EQE like in the UAE?

The 90.6 kWh battery is large enough that home charging becomes routine rather than a chore — plug in overnight two or three times a week and the car is always full. Rapid charging covers intercity trips, and pre-conditioning while still plugged in protects range in summer. Servicing is simpler than on a petrol Mercedes and goes through the authorised Dubai network.

Choose the body first — on the EQE that decides range, practicality and price all at once. If the budget stretches, the EQS is the same idea with a much larger battery. And the used EQEs listed now cover both bodies if you would rather buy second-hand.
