Seven seats, a square body and a battery: the EQB is the only compact electric Mercedes here that carries a third row, which is the entire reason it exists alongside the EQA. A facelift in 2023 changed the lighting and the trim, but left the seven-seat layout that justifies the car alone.
How much does the Mercedes EQB range cost in the UAE?
One 2026 specification at AED 326,900, badged 4MATIC, with all-wheel drive and 7 seats as standard rather than as an option pack. Because there is no lesser version, the price is what it is — the useful comparison is against the petrol GLB, which does the same job for less and refuels in five minutes.
EQB or EQA?
Take the EQB if you ever need the extra seats or the boot: it is taller, boxier and far more useful as a family car, and the third row is genuinely usable for children. The EQA costs less, parks more easily and drives slightly better. They share a platform, so the decision is purely about space.
Mercedes EQB or Tesla Model Y?
The EQB wins on packaging and on the school run — a proper third row, upright glass and a cabin children can climb into without acrobatics. The Tesla Model Y is quicker, goes further on a charge and has the stronger charging network behind it. As a seven-seat electric car at this price, the Mercedes has very little competition.
What is charging an EQB like in the UAE?
Practical, provided the car sleeps somewhere with a socket. A home or building wall box handles the overnight refill, and a school-run and commute week rarely needs more than that. For an intercity trip, a rapid charger stop is part of the plan rather than an emergency. Confirm charger access with building management before ordering — that is the real constraint, not the car.
If the third row is the reason you are here, the EQB is the only electric Mercedes at this size that offers one. The used EQBs listed now are the cheaper way to that third row.
