One nameplate replaced two: the CLE took over from both the C-Class and E-Class coupés, and the 200 is where the range starts. Rear-wheel drive as a coupé, all-wheel drive as a cabriolet. That happened in 2023, which makes the CLE the newest car in the Mercedes coupé line-up rather than a renamed old one.
How much does the Mercedes CLE 200 cost in the UAE?
The 2026 choice is body, not equipment — AED 337,099 for the Coupé and AED 356,900 for the Cabriolet 4MATIC. The two are mechanically close and the gap between them buys a folding roof and a driven front axle rather than any extra performance. Everything above sits in the CLE 300.
Coupé or cabriolet?
The cabriolet makes more sense here than it does in most markets, because the weather is usable for a good part of the year and a fabric roof is quieter now than it used to be. The coupé is the better-resolved car — lighter, stiffer, more boot space, and rear seats that a passenger can actually sit in. Buy the coupé unless the roof is the whole reason.
Mercedes CLE 200 or BMW 4 Series?
The CLE 200 is the more comfortable and better-finished of the two, and the more elegant thing to arrive in — a coupé bought for looks should look like this one. The BMW 4 Series is quicker in equivalent form and the sharper car on a good road; the Audi A5 splits the difference and has the easier interior to live with.
What does a CLE 200 cost to run in the UAE?
About 11 Km/L from the 2.0 L four-cylinder, which is undemanding for a car this size and shape. The cabriolet adds a roof mechanism to the maintenance list — worth having checked properly rather than assumed. Sales and service run through Gargash Enterprises in Dubai, and coupé bodywork panels are not cheap to replace after a car park scrape.
What should you check on a used CLE 200?
The individual car is what decides the price. On a cabriolet that means the roof mechanism and its seals; on both bodies it means the low front end, the wheels, and a service record with no gaps. Read the inspection report before settling a price.
Decide on the body first and the engine second; on this car the roof is the expensive choice, not the power output. The used CLE 200s listed now are the cheaper way into the same body.
