Maybach's take on the largest Mercedes SUV: a reworked rear compartment, extra sound insulation and a V8 with 550 BHP, in a body that already seats 7 before any of that is added.
How much does the Maybach GLS 600 cost in the UAE?
AED 956,699 for the GLS 600 Maybach, a single 2026 specification and the most expensive SUV in the Mercedes range short of the electric Maybach. The gap to the GLS 580 below is considerable, and it buys interior specification, isolation and badge rather than any additional performance or space.
What makes it a Maybach rather than a GLS?
The second row. Individual reclining seats, a fixed centre console, additional acoustic glazing and a suspension calibration aimed at the passenger rather than the driver. Externally it is the chrome and the two-tone paint options. Judge it as a chauffeur car with seven seats available, because that is what the specification is designed around.
Maybach GLS 600 or BMW X7?
The Maybach is in a different category of comfort and material quality, and for anyone who spends the journey in the back there is no contest at this price. The BMW X7 is the better car to drive yourself and costs a fraction as much; the Audi Q7 is the sensible alternative nobody shopping for a Maybach is considering.
Does the Maybach GLS hold its value, and what should you watch for as it ages?
Behind the ultra-luxury field — about 59% of its value after five years and 73% after three, against roughly 71% and 82% for cars at that level here, so the badge does not fully protect it. On a used one, the rear compartment is what decides the price: screens, seat mechanisms and the acoustic glazing are expensive to put right, and all of them belong in the inspection report.
If the rear seat is not the reason for the purchase, the money is better spent on a well-specified GLS 580. It is also worth seeing what the used Mercedes listings hold at that level.
